God is not attained by a process
of addition to anything in the soul,
but by a process of subtraction.

The normal state
for that of which we conceive as God
Is to fill all things.

And for God Who fills all things
To be One with that which God fills.
The Incarnator and the Incarnated
take up the same space.

But, when God comes seeking us,
Often what God finds is a place
Out of which perhaps a demon
has been cast
But Legion has moved in.

So the Process begins.
One by one,
those things that are
neither of God or of Us
are, like warping cancers
or destructive tenants,
evicted
By a process of subtraction.

Till, swept clean,
Unity and Wholeness
are achieved.

Be patient, trusting ... but firm.
